When a plane sits on the tarmac instead of flying, it’s not earning any money. The same is true for machines. Long downtimes are therefore things to avoid. But how? In his talk at Doxnet in Baden-Baden (June 24 - 26, 2019), “Speed x Intelligence = BÖWE SYSTEC” Manoj George, BÖWE SYSTEC’s Head of Sales and Service for Europe, explains why machines need to be intelligent as well as fast. The new Fusion Speed inserting system, which combines both, is a perfect example of this.
Time is money. But, whether one wants to gain time or save it, this can only be achieved, if the machine has the speed. That’s why one of BÖWE SYSTEC’s goals is to develop and supply faster systems. With the Fusion Speed it has therefore developed an inserting system capable of handling up to 30,000 envelopes per hour. Speed, however, is only one side of the coin, intelligence is the other. And the Fusion Speed delivers that in the form of intuitive software.
Machines can behave intelligently with the right software. “We strive to endow the machine world with more intelligence”, declares Manoj George. Intelligent systems are ones that can be controlled intuitively, that operate in networks and entirely automatically across multiple sites. But, for Manoj George, intelligent systems are also ones that act preventatively. In practice, what he is talking about here is predictive maintenance, the autonomous scheduling of necessary machine and system maintenance to minimize downtimes.
There are many suppliers of fast inserting systems and just as many suppliers of intelligent ones; but few can match BÖWE SYSTEC in offering fast and intelligent inserting systems – that they have developed and built themselves.
Find out through Manoj George’s Doxnet talk how your company could take off with intelligent and fast machines from BÖWE SYSTEC.
The talk will take place on Monday, June 24, 2019, 3:30 p.m at Doxnet Fachkonferenz in Baden-Baden (Germany).
